Why work with a Stationery Designer

Why work with a Stationery Designer

So, the engagement bubble is slowly subsiding...

The venue deposit has been paid and you've met what feels like a million celebrants...

Florals are locked in, and your guest list is starting to take shape, give or take a few tweaks...

So what's next? How do we get all those wonderful guests to you amazing venue so they can see your Insta worthy floral arrange & phenomenal celebrant...?

'Invitations', I'm hearing you all scream. Because, like 'DUH',

& now I'm hearing you all say, 'invitations are easy... I can totally DIY my invites in Canva and print them at Officeworks... Like, of course, I have totally got this.' (Loving the boss vibes btw).

& for the most part, I would agree with you. I'd also be the first to totally DIY my own invites if I wasn't a stationery designer by trade because one, I love DIYing everything (just ask my partner who’s constantly putting up with home improvement suggestions) and two, I've always loved arts'n'crafts.

But let me stop the debate here lovely human, and put a different spin on things. Because whilst DIYing your stationery may seem like a fun and cost-effective idea, designing your own wedding stationery can lead to a host of issues and mishaps. Sometimes in the stress of designing, we can misread information, get our grammar or spelling wrong, or even rush and choose the wrong size (A4 invites instead of A5 anyone…). Afterall, we're all humans, and mistakes can happen.

Enter the professional stationery designer (e.g., Me!). There are huge benefits to working with us and it's not just because we're a pretty happy bunch who love weddings and also the 'feels' we get from working with amazing people like yourself.

'Benefits', I hear you say... 'What benefits? Aren't you just going to charge me 10x more than Officeworks will for ink on paper...?.

(Ah, no, for the record I won't.)

Yes, benefits. There are so many reasons why profesh stationery designers have their place and can be your unseen guardian angel. & Here are just some of my fav reasons why you really should consider working with us.

Firstly, customisation is key. Your wedding reflects you and your partner, and your stationery should be no exception. A wedding stationery designer (e.g., me) will work with you to create a design that is uniquely you, incorporating all the special details that make your love story so damn cute and adorable. From your wedding colours to your favourite flowers, we'll bring your vision to life.

But let's talk about quality, shall we? Sure, you might be handy with a glue gun or you know your 170gsm paper from your 350gsm textured cardstock, but can you produce stationery that is high-quality and polished? Probably not. A professional designer has the skills, experience, and fancy tools to create stunning designs that will leave your guests gasping with awe.

(What's more, we're also on the 'in' with some amazing trade printers who can do all that whizz, bang, fancy stuff with paper... like letterpress, debossing, embossing, foiling, duplexing, die cutting... anyone's head just explode?)

Now, let's not forget about time. You're already juggling a million different wedding tasks, from dress fittings to cake tastings, to hunting down that harpist you need for your walk down the aisle. Do you really have the time to create your own stationery from scratch? Didn't think so. By working with a pro, you can take one thing off your to-do list and relax knowing that your stationery is in good hands.

And speaking of relaxing, let's talk about stress. Wedding planning is stressful enough as it is, so why add another layer of stress by trying to DIY your stationery? We designers will handle all the nitty-gritty details, from printing to assembly, so you can focus on what really matters: enjoying your engagement and getting excited for your big day.

But let's not forget about the creative aspect of working with a wedding stationery designer. When it comes to wedding stationery, there are endless possibilities for designs and styles. A wedding stationery designer can help you narrow down your options and create something that is truly unique and tailored to your personal taste. Whether you want something traditional, modern, or totally out of the box, a designer can bring your vision to life.

Moreover, a professional wedding stationery designer has been trained in the art of design and has the experience to create a polished, professional-looking product. We know all the latest trends and techniques and can help guide you through the process of selecting paper, colours, fonts and printing options to make sure your stationery is top-notch.

What's more, we're also a fresh pair of eyes looking over your all-important wedding invitation & event information. While it may seem like working with a wedding stationery designer is an added expense, it can save you money in the long run. A designer can help you avoid costly mistakes and ensure that your stationery is printed correctly the first time around, saving you from having to reprint or reorder items if a mistake is found in the details.

And last but not least, let's not forget about the 'WOW' factor. When your guests receive your beautiful, professionally designed wedding stationery in the mail, they'll be blown away by how stunning and unique it is. Your stationery will set the tone for your entire wedding and give your guests a glimpse into what they can expect on your big day.

So, gorgeous humans, there you have it.

Working with a wedding stationery designer is the way to go if you want your stationery to be one-of-a-kind, high-quality and stress-free.

& honestly, why wouldn't you want that. A wedding is one of the most important events in your life, and your stationery should be a reflection of that.

Don't settle for anything less than the best. Hire a wedding stationery designer and let them bring your vision to life. Your wedding deserves it.
